Give us the strength and wisdom to speak Your Truth boldly.
Stretch out Your hand to heal the sick and the brokenhearted.
Show the world that fears Your existence
the miracles of Love righteously given
through our belief, our faithfulness, our compassion,
our cooperation, our forgiveness.
For it is only through Your name that the world can truly be united;
and only by Your name that we can know peace;
and only in Your name that we can find redemption;
and only because of Your name that we can attain Life eternal.

WHAT IS PRAYER?

First, understand that prayer is not a technique or an exercise in wishful thinking; nor is it a matter of uttering a few empty sentimental words with which we attempt to persuade God to do our will. The notion that many words, loud testimony and memorized verse reflect earnest prayer, in reality, means little or nothing. True prayer is so much more than that.

As children of a spiritual Father, we are likewise spiritual beings, first. With that in mind, we could say that prayer is the active means by which we commune one-on-one or collectively with God, endeavoring to attune our earthly minds and will to the spiritual mind and will of our Creator. Our fears, doubts, hopes and needs for healing, direction and forgiveness are carried in sincere, focused supplication to the very presence of God. We await His promised response in faith and patience - His reward measured according to the degree of our belief; trusting and accepting that His answer is His will.

Whether praying alone or in a group with singleness of purpose, God responds to devoted, patient, sincere prayer. It can literally transform lives - materially, mentally and spiritually - body, mind and soul. Faithful intercessory prayer (praying on behalf of others) can bring healing, peace, hope and a new awakening into the lives, hearts and minds of those we are concerned about, the conditions of the world and its leaders, and mankind in general, as well.

Miraculous! That is the dynamic potential and purpose of prayer!

WHAT ARE PRAYER PARTNERS?

Prayer Partners are individuals who voluntarily pray along with the Silent Advocates at the noon hour, all around the world. Becoming a Prayer Partner is open to anyone requesting to do so. Their purpose is to pray for themselves and anyone they wish to include, the conditions and people of the world and the Prayer Group and their work as a whole.

There is a daily Prayer Focus for the Prayer Partners which will be posted on this page. We invite you to join us daily and lend your heart, mind and spirit to solemn prayer at this time.
